One of the Arlington City Council’s goals is to provide programs and services to directly support youth and their families, enabling them to reach their highest potential in life in The American Dream City.

A successful community requires a variety of support systems and an environment that enables our residents to flourish and grow. That includes Arlington Parks and Recreation, which is celebrating its 100th year anniversary of serving the Arlington community.

In 2024, the department is commemorating the 100th anniversary of Meadowbrook Park, the city’s first park. Residents are encouraged to join in celebrating the centennial by sharing your favorite parks and recreation memories and photographs on the centennial website. Read about upcoming centennial events and other great programs available in Arlington in the latest quarterly edition of the Support Youth and Families newsletter.

All quarterly City Council priority newsletters are produced in a digital formal, allowing for layers of additional video content and important links.

Also in this edition:

  • Arlington Public Library, Arlington ISD to Provide Free Summer Meals to Children
  • City Lights Downtown Towers in School Colors to Celebrate Graduating Seniors from UTA and Arlington, Mansfield High Schools
