Many City of Arlington municipal offices and facilities will be closed between Sunday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023, in observance of the Christmas holiday. Regular office hours and service schedules will resume Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Residential garbage or recycling collection will not occur on Christmas Day, Dec. 25. Collection will resume on the following regular collection day. Collections will occur as usual on Tuesday, Dec. 26. Also, during the weeks of Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, Republic Services will temporarily suspend the collection of brush, bulk items, and bagged leaves because the volume of trash usually spikes after the holiday. Crews will only collect bagged trash so that residents do not experience service delays. Normal collection services will resume the week of Jan. 8.
