The following information is based on the most recent guidance received by the Arlington Housing Authority.

01/28/2025 4:45  The Housing Choice Voucher Program is no longer subject to the pause in federal payments. HUD has notified us that we should have funds advanced timely to make eligible rental assistance payments to landlords for HCV program participants. All other grants to PHAs are paused until further notice.

The City of Arlington and the Arlington Housing Authority management and board are aware of the recent memorandums. In short, the OMB has ordered a pause on the payment of numerous government obligations.  It is unclear how or if this pause will impact payments under the jurisdiction of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.  The pause order does state that “Any payment required by law will be paid without interruption or delay.”
