Celebrate 2024 Fix a Leak Week with Arlington Water Utilities

The EPA WaterSense program celebrates Fix a Leak Week in March to promote the water conservation and money savings that fixing household leaks can bring. According to federal estimates, 10% of homes have leaks that waste 90 gallons or more per day.

Arlington Water Utilities, Tarrant Regional Water District, and the Arlington Public Library are hosting free classes to encourage residents to be more water efficient.

DIY Plumbing Repairs

Monday, March 11, 2024, 6-7p.m., at the East Library and Recreation Center, 1817 New York Ave.

Participants will learn about materials and tools needed for fixes and routine maintenance; identifying toilet leaks and fixing common toilet issues; and how to troubleshoot a leaky faucet or showerhead. Click here to register.

DIY Sprinkler Repairs - Saturday, March 16, 2024, 10 a.m. -12p.m., at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, 100 S. Center St. Participants in this class will learn about all the parts of a typical home sprinkler system; how to see if your system has uneven coverage; how to adjust heads and maintain your system; and how to check your system for leaks.
