Dog of the Week – Meet Tizzy
This two-year, two-month-old male American Blue Heeler/Alaskan Husky mix is white and black in color and weighs 49 pounds. Here it is, the last week before a total solar eclipse and it would be wonderful if Tizzy could be adopted before that momentous occasion as he has already spent over 47 days hanging out in the shelter. During his extended stay, Tizzy came down with an upper respiratory infection, was treated and is much better now. It's worth checking him out as he displays a unique look since he has no tail. When spending time in the play yard, Tizzy can be observed actively watching for the family that could become his own to show up. An active dog that seems to love interacting with people and with life, this canine is eager to be adopted. Second Dog of the Week – Meet Axel
This two-year, one-month-old male Pit Bull Terrier mix is black and white in color and weighs 67 pounds. Pardon us here at the shelter if we seem to have an axe(l) to grind, but we think this canine should have been adopted by now. He is a fun-loving larger dog that is just a big teddy bear at heart. Yes, he is that bigger dog that thinks he is a smaller dog. Just as happy in a bigger space or a smaller space (like a lap, or a bed of any size), Axel can barely contain the huge heart he is wanting to share with all he meets. One could believe he is singing to himself, "every now and then I get a little bit lonely and you're never coming around... a total eclipse of the heart".
