Dogs of the week

Dog of the Week – Meet Moose

This two-year, three- month-old male Alaskan Husky mix is black, white and red in color and weighs 36 pounds. This week we are featuring our current longest resident-he's been in the shelter for over 82 days now! Moose is starting to show a little stress after having been here for longer than he (or we) would like. It would be great to get him adopted in time to celebrate May Day (May 1st) in a new "furever' home. He could be described as a tall, skinny dude with a laid-back personality. Being outside is what he really likes, and he shows a curiosity about all the goings on at the neighboring dog park. Other canine friends that come out to the play yard escorted by volunteers or staff also pique his interest. Moose walks well on a leash and relishes the opportunity to be out of his kennel going out and about on adventures. Due to his length of time (too long!!) spent in the shelter, Moose has achieved VIP status and can be adopted at a reduced adoption fee. Meet Moose at Dog Adoptions (DA) 24, his ID number is A55223764.

Second Dog of the Week – Meet Ryder

This ten-and-a-half-month-old male Retriever mix is red and white in color and weighs 39 pounds. This canine selection came in with a little "hitch in his giddy-up" (walking with a limp) but has been cleared for adoption. He has a tendency to be very active so his wish would be to have a new home with room to roam. A large yard would offer him the opportunity to run off his pent-up energy from having been in the shelter and would be the answer to his (and our) prayers. Ryder seems to be a fun loving, happy go lucky dog with a desire to please. Like Moose, Ryder is a VIP animal and can be adopted at a reduced adoption fee. Ask to meet Ryder who is in RR 1, with ID number A55738830.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
