The Arlington Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of an adult male.

On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at approximately 8:06 p.m., officers responded to the westbound I-30 off-ramp near Baird Farm Road after receiving reports that a Dodge Charger had crashed into a concrete barrier and was on fire. When officers arrived on scene, the vehicle was fully engulfed.

Once the fire was out, first responders located the driver of the Charger inside the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators have not been able to identify him. He was the only occupant of the car.

Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the driver once he has been positively identified and next of kin have been notified.
