The City of Arlington is hosting a special event this month to raise funds for United Way Tarrant County and to help citizens dispose of documents simply and securely.

A community Paper Shred Event is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 29 at the 200 N. Cooper Street between Main and Division streets in Downtown. Receptacles will be available to collect paper documents for transport to Tarrant County Recycling, a secure destruction facility operated by Tarrant County government that destroys documents for the City of Arlington and many other government agencies.

Citizens can drop off documents for shredding for free but a $5 donation is suggested. Donations will benefit United Way Tarrant County.
