Copa America, the oldest soccer tournament in the continent, is quickly approaching, and Cafe Americana in Downtown Arlington is getting ready to commemorate this competition. Starting on June 20, 2024, savor the new item on the menu that include Anticuchos from Boliva, a Caldillo from Chile and the famous Lomo Saltado from Peru.

Mark Guatelara, executive chef and operator of Cafe Americana, said he didn’t want fans to have to travel too far from Arlington’s world-class stadium to enjoy food with a Latin flair.

“With the games coming in, we wanted to add these. They will stay for a while depending on how much the customers like it,” Guatelara said.

Chile, Peru, Bolivia, and the United States are the four nations that will compete in the group stage at AT&T Stadium. On July 5, a quarterfinal game will also take place at the Dallas' Cowboys' home. If you are wondering what dish represents the United States of America, Chef Guatelara has the answer.

“The whole restaurant is basically the U.S., it’s all the countries that came to the United States looking for the American Dream here in Arlington. That encompasses the whole menu that we have right now,” Guatelara said.

Step into Cafe Americana to be transported to a laid-back, tropical paradise. Café Americana is located at 403 E. Main St., Arlington, Texas 76010. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday. For more information and the hours of operations, visit www.cafeamericanatx.com or call 682-338-3033.
