Dallas Horseshoe Project

Drivers who take east Interstate 30 toward downtown Dallas should be aware of some upcoming traffic lane shifts this weekend that could affect their commute.

Starting Saturday evening and continuing overnight, traffic will be shifted along eastbound I-30 coming from Arlington as part of the Dallas Horseshoe Project.

Traffic will remain in the right lanes to continue eastbound through the Mixmaster. The existing I-30 connection on the left-hand side of the main lanes will close permanently.

Also, the locations of the Beckley Avenue exit and the Sylvan Avenue on-ramp will switch places.

All work is subject to weather and may be postponed if necessary. Message boards and signs will be placed along the roadway to advise motorists of new traffic movements and detours.

A detailed video highlighting the upcoming changes is available by following this link to the Dallas Horseshoe Project' s YouTube page.
