Sorority Bands Together

The ladies from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Xi Theta Omega Chapter have risen to the calling of Adopt-A-Spot in Arlington that helps them accomplish their mission to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college-educated women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of service to all mankind.

The vision of Xi Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., is the premier sisterhood of college-educated women working together to serve the citizens of Arlington and the surrounding communities.

So far this year, Alpha Kappa Alpha members have been busy giving back locally at these various community impact days: MLK Day of Service, Pink Goes Red for a Day, 1908 Playground Mobilization Day, The Longest Day Alzheimer's Support Activities and Adopt-A-Spot in North Arlington. Chapters across the country have also kicked-off the ASCEND Program. This new signature youth enrichment program designed for high school students.

Keep Arlington Beautiful welcomes and appreciates the support of this busy group. Thank you Xi Theta Omega Chapter. We look forward to a long friendship with you!
