Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor in Arlington announced a wage increase affecting more than 90 percent of its team members. The increase from $7.25 per hour to up to $9 per hour went into effect on Monday, June 13.

' Our team members are our most important asset,' said Steve Martindale, Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor park president. ' This wage increase is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to them and the higher wages will also help us recruit new team members who want to work in a fun environment, while creating lasting memories for our guests.'

The theme park is still looking to fill positions for the summer season and into the fall and winter. Seasonal positions are available in many departments, with the greatest number of opportunities in ride operations and food services. Positions are also available at Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor in retail, games, park services, lifeguarding, maintenance, market research and brand ambassadors, and security. People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Six Flags Over Texas will employ nearly 4,000 seasonal team members to help operate the 212-acre theme park. Hurricane Harbor will employ nearly 800 seasonal team members for the 47-acre water park.

Applicants should first go to sixflagsjobs.com to complete an online application. Interviews are scheduled by appointment only after the online application has been reviewed.
