Downtown Arlington Center Stage Music Festival

Join the Levitt Pavilion June 9-11 for the Downtown Arlington Center Stage Music Festival, featuring Reckless Kelly, Orleans and Black Violin. Arlington-native Dylan Chambers will also be performing this Sunday, June 11. Chambers performed at venues all across The American Dream City before moving out to Los Angeles seven years ago. Venues from around the Levitt are also expected to participate with live music before and after the headliners for a full weekend of free music. Arlington Parks & Recreation's Food Truck Friday Dinner Series

Looking to enjoy dinner outdoors? The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department's Food Truck Fridays dinner series launches this week in north Arlington. This event will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Friday until June 16 at River Legacy Parks Elm Grove Pavilion, 701 NE Green Oaks Blvd. Each Friday will feature a new lineup of food trucks, allowing visitors the opportunity to taste and try out different fare. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to the food truck events, as seating is limited. The food truck line-ups will be announced the Wednesday before each event at www.naturallyfun.org/foodtruck.

Six Flags Over Texas

Spend the weekend at Six Flags Over Texas with all your friends and family celebrating all things summer. Enjoy some delicious summer-time favorites hot off the grill along with American-sized thrills on our roller coasters such as BATMAN The Ride, SUPERMAN: Tower of Power and MR. FREEZE: Reverse Blast. The Joker free-fly coaster is also open at Six Flags. After being lifted straight up a 12-story, 90-degree hill, riders flip head-over-heels up to six times along the weightless journey. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

From thrilling slides to relaxing pools, Arlington residents and visitors will be happy to hear that Hurricane Harbor is now open. The water park in Arlington's Entertainment District will be open Thursday through Sunday, June 8-11, 2017. Hurricane Harbor will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor features 47 acres of water wonderland to enjoy. Milton H. Greene: Women Exhibit at Arlington Museum of Art

This summer, the Arlington Museum of Art will continue its tradition of photography exhibits with Milton Greene: Women, which opened on May 13 and will run through Aug 6. "Photography has been a huge success at the Arlington Museum of Art," Hightower said. "Our two most attended exhibits, Ansel Adams and Vivian Maier, were photography exhibits. I chose Milton Greene's work because he was famous for his work with celebrities in the '50s, '60s and '70s such as Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Frank Sinatra." Dallas Wings Home Games at College Park Center

The Wings play two home games this weekend at The University of Texas at Arlington's College Park Center in Downtown, one on Friday, June 9 against the Los Angeles Sparks and one on Sunday versus the Minnesota Lynx. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT on Friday and 3:30 p.m. CT on Sunday. To purchase tickets, fans can go towww.dallaswings.com or they can call the box office at (817) 469-9464. The Wings play all home games at College Park Center, a state-of-the-art 7,000-seat arena located at 600 S Center St, Arlington, TX 76019. Both games will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest.

The Spartan Sprint at AT&T Stadium

If you're looking for a mix of fun and intense exercise this weekend, you can register to participate in the Spartan Sprint Obstacle Course at AT&T Stadium this Saturday, June 10! The muddy sprint is fun for everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes. The event kicks off at 7:30 a.m. with elite men and women's races, followed by the morning session from 8-11 a.m. and the afternoon times from 11:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will also be a kids race for ages 4-13. Sha Na Na at Arlington Music Hall

Rock & Roll doo-wop legends, SHA NA NA combine their love for the classics of rock & roll with a dynamic theatrical approach this Friday, June 9, 2017 at Arlington Music Hall in Downtown. The concert gets underway at 7:30 p.m. Sha Na Na performed six songs on the Grease soundtrack and the song "Sandy," sung by John Travolta, was co-written by the band's piano man Screamin' Scott Simon. Residents and visitors can purchase tickets for this show on the Arlington Music Hall website or call the box office at 817-226-4400.
