1. Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas

Holiday in the Park is open for select days through January 7, 2018 at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington's Entertainment District. From festive shows to an extravagantly decorated Christmas tree, holiday fun is around every corner. The whole family can relish in the joy of this wonderful season with a ride on a hill made of snow and enjoy holiday festive treats. This one-of-a-kind experience in The American Dream City is sure to provide you and your family with long-lasting memories you will cherish for years to come!

2. One-Man Star Wars Trilogy Starring Charles Ross at Arlington Music Hall

One Man Star Wars Trilogy Canadian actor Charles Ross brings his solo madcap creation One-Man Star Wars Trilogy to the stage in this mind-bending whirlwind of a show. The actor retells the classic trilogy in 60 minutes without using costumes, props and sets. All the characters, the music, the ships and the battles are included. Ross will take the Arlington Music Hall stage this Friday, January 5, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Residents and visitors can purchase tickets for this show on the Arlington Music Hall website or call the box office at 817-226-4400.

3. Live Music at Grease Monkey Burger Shop -Social Club

Head over to Grease Monkey Burger Shop -Social Club in Downtown Arlington for two nights of live music this weekend. On Friday night, Michael Lee will take the stage at 9 p.m. A born and bred Texas Blues singer and guitarist, Lee is said to be primed and ready to take the music world by storm. On Saturday night, residents and visitors can check out 57 Sauce, featuring music from a wide variety of genres. That show also starts at 9 p.m. Grease Monkey is located at 200 N Mesquite St, Arlington, TX 76011.

4. Salvador Dali Exhibit at Arlington Museum of Art

Salvador Dali was a painter, designer, sculptor, writer and set designer. He was also a master engraver who could produce equally outstanding work in dry point, etching, woodcut or lithography. This exhibition features Dali's full series of Dante's The Divine Comedy, for which each of the lithographs presented required as many as 35 colors. There are a total of 101 pieces included in this exhibition. Salvador Dali: Visions of Eternity runs until January 21, 2018. For more information, please visit www.arlingtonmuseum.org.

5. UTA Basketball Doubleheader at College Park Center

It's a UT Arlington men's and women's basketball doubleheader this Saturday, January 6, 2018 at College Park Center in Downtown! The Lady Mavs get the action started first at 2 p.m. and tip-off for the men's basketball game is at 4:15 p.m. CT. Both teams will face off against South Alabama as they battle for position in the Sun Belt Conference. Tickets are still available at UTAtickets.com. UTA Planetarium continues to offer shows to residents and visitors.
