  • The topic of the second meeting is the Davis Upper Pressure Plane Expansion Phase One. The meeting will be held 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, in the Council Briefing Room on the 3rd floor of Arlington City Hall, 101 W. Abram St. The project will include the construction of about 8,500 feet of 8-inch, 12-inch, and 16-inch water main and replacement of about 3,300 feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer main. Construction is set to begin Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 and last for 375 calendar days.

The project is the first of two phases of main improvements that will expand the water distribution system's Upper Pressure Plane into the area bounded by Cooper Street, Fielder Road, Arkansas Lane, and Sanford Street. These improvements will increase the water pressure in this area which is currently experiencing lower than average daily operating pressures. The pressure increase will not occur until both phases are complete, which is anticipated for late 2019.
