The newest "Culture Buzz" segment on MyArlingtonTV takes a journey to the Arlington Museum of Art in Downtown for Arlington ISD Youth Art Month!

Each spring, the Arlington Museum of Art collaborates with AISD to give students the opportunity to display their pieces.

Linh Nguyen, the Visual Arts Coordinator for AISD, says this event is a dream come true that allows parents to see the creativity and artistic talent of their children.

You can watch and read Linh’s American Dream story, where he talks about working to positively influence the lives of students by teaching innovation and creative thinking through exploration and production of visual art.

AISD Youth Art Month is held in conjunction with National Youth Month and Youth Art Month work on display in Austin at the Capitol Building. The exhibition will run for six weeks.

The Arlington and Lamar High School Networks recently finished their showing to the public that was on display at the museum from March 8-19, 2017.

Schedule:

March 23 - April 4, 2017 - Martin and Sam Houston High School Networks

April 7 - 19, 2017 - Juan Seguin and Bowie High School Networks
