Atmos Energy Donates

Chris Felan, on behalf of Atmos Energy, presented a $25,000 check to Mayor Jeff Williams and Director of Libraries Yoko Matsumoto today to benefit the Arlington Public Library's new Downtown Library.

Atmos Energy's generous gift will fund a teen group study room on the second floor of the new Downtown Library, which is set to open north of City Hall in 2018.

As they grow, teens need socialization, learning, research, entertainment, and more. The second floor of the Downtown Library will support these needs through casual seating areas, gaming stations, up-to-date technology, young adult books, work rooms, and lab spaces. Teens will hold meetings, work on projects, or simply study with friends in this space.
