The Parks and Recreation Departments of Arlington and Grand Prairie, Texas, as well as the Texas Recreation and Park Society, will host the second annual Brand-Aid Marketing and Social Media Conference, January 23-24, 2013, at the Bob Duncan Center in Arlington.

The conference will offer attendees two days of traditional and social marketing training from a diverse group of industry guest speakers. "After a successful first year conference, we are excited to announce this year's marketing training for our professionals,' Michal Anne Lord, Executive Director of Texas Recreation and Parks Society said. The conference is designed for professionals working in parks, recreation and sports related industries although other businesses would benefit from the instruction.

The conference in 2013 will provide a great selection of public and private industry examples of the do's and don'ts of the marketing industry. Sessions will also provide insight on new techniques as well as ways to improve current practices. "For the price and value this is a great opportunity to send a few staff members to for training. In our industry, all our staff are marketers. Here is your chance to gain some great knowledge' stated Rick Herold, Director of Parks and Recreation, City of Grand Prairie. The conference is $99 ($89 for TRAPS members) which includes two days of sessions, lunch (both days) and an opportunity to meet and brainstorm with fellow marketing professionals.
