Effective immediately, pursuant to the Texas Supreme Court’s Emergency Orders and Guidance from the Office of Court Administration, all hearings, trials and in-person proceedings have been suspended through February 2021. Defendants who were scheduled for an in person docket or trial will receive notice on when to appear virtually or in person.
Defendants who wish to speak with a Judge may send a request to the Municipal Court virtual email. A court clerk will respond to your email with a date, time and instructions on how to join the virtual courtroom. Virtual dockets are courtroom settings and defendants are expected to uphold proper decorum in their manner and dress code. These virtual walk in dockets play an important role in ensuring access to the Municipal Court while making every effort to avoid risks to the public health.
Defendants may also utilize our live online court clerk services. Court clerks are not attorneys and will not be able to provide legal advice. Clerks will be available to explain processes and procedures, answer questions, and provide options for handling violations. This program allows defendants to receive many of the same services that they would receive if they were to come to the court in person. View the Virtual Court Page
