Tents & Tales Campout – Friday, April 5
Join us on April 5 for a night under the stars as we camp out at River Legacy Park. Make sure to pack your tents and sleeping bags as we set out for wilderness right here in the city! The night will include dinner, a movie under the stars, sleeping bag story time, and a good old fashioned camping sing along. All ages welcome.

Arlington Bass Classic – Saturday, April 6
Arlington Parks and Recreation’s 11th Annual Arlington Bass Classic is set for April 6! Registration is $100 per team (1 or 2 people) and includes Big Bass contest. One boat per team. Top 6 places paid for biggest stringer. A current 2024 boat permit is required and can be purchased at the Kathryn Wilemon Lake House or online. Total Eclipse of the Park – Monday, April 8
Join us for totality over Arlington as we celebrate 100 years of Parks and Recreation and watch the Great North American Eclipse on April 8! The solar eclipse watch party will be held from 11 AM to 3 PM on the Levitt Pavilion Lawn. Admission is free and there will be a live DJ, food trucks, and free commemorative solar eclipse glasses for the first 5,000 guests. Open seating is available on the lawn. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs.
Zip & Sip: Arlington Parks Centennial Community Night – Friday, April 12
Celebrate Arlington Parks and Recreation’s Centennial on April 12 with a unique Zip & Sip experience. Enjoy the Treetop Journey at Go Ape Arlington before grabbing a tasty adult beverage! The Arlington Parks Centennial Community Night is taking place at River Legacy Park East from 6-9 PM with a variety of fun vendors and delightful drinks. After sunset, the course will be lit up to create a magical adventure after dark! We will also have a bounce house, sand volleyball, beer and wine, yard games, music, food, and lots of fun! This is an all ages event and is free to attend. Must purchase ticket for zip line & ropes course.

Ogre-Sized Splash Bash – Friday, April 19
Calling all ogres and fairytale creatures! Step into our indoor swamp at East Library and Recreation Center on April 19 as we swim in the indoor pool and enjoy the hit motion-picture Shrek! Come on and let's ogre-load on fun!

24 Gold Senior Prom – Friday, April 26
In honor of Arlington Parks and Recreation turning 100 years old in 2024, we're hosting a 24K Senior Prom! Seniors are invited to join us on April 26 for a golden experience and enjoy an evening with dinner, dancing, photo-ops, and stunning refreshments. We encourage guests to dress up and accessorize!
