The Arlington Police Department has been notified that a motorcycle driver who was critically injured in a recent crash has died from his injuries.

The crash occurred on February 1, 2024 at approximately 10:43 p.m. in the 100 block of E. Mitchell Street.

Investigators believe the motorcycle driver, a 31-year-old man, was traveling eastbound along Mitchell Street and crossed the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic, colliding with a 2006 Toyota Camry that was traveling westbound. The impact caused the motorcycle driver to be thrown from his bike. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased this week.

The occupants of the Camry were not injured and are not facing any charges in connection to this incident.

Speed is believed to be a factor.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the motorcycle driver.
