Kalob Edgerson, a junior on Seguin High School’s basketball team, has been selected as the City of Arlington’s Student-Athlete of the Month for December 2024.

Edgerson not only makes an impact on his team on the defensive side of the ball, but also in the classroom as well. 

“When it’s academics in play, it’s like he locks in,” said Steven Thomas, Seguin High School’s Head Boys Basketball Coach. “He has that mental focus. It’s like he doesn’t want to fail himself, and he shows other guys how to take care of their business as well.”

After high school, Edgerson plans on studying to become a coach and a math teacher.
