The annual Arlington Martin Luther King. Jr. “Advancing the Dream” Celebration is set for Jan. 17-20, 2025.

As one of the largest celebrations in the state, this four-day event attracts thousands of Arlington-area residents each year. The theme for this year’s festivities, organized by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee, is “Advancing the Dream: Choosing Connection over Division.”

Arlington Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee Inc.

Organized in 1989 and established as a nonprofit in 1990, the MLK Celebration Committee has been an active contributor to the community for 35 years. The MLK Celebration Committee has given out scholarships to students, donated time and provided resources to the community while continuing to push forward the message and dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The committee is supported by the following organizations:

  • The City of Arlington
