On the next great adventure of Explore Arlington, Mayor Jim Ross takes the court with the UT Arlington Lady Mavs basketball team. 

Shereka Wright, who led UT Arlington to an NCAA Tournament appearance in just her second season while capturing Sun Belt Coach of the Year accolades, has made an incredible impact on the Lady Mavs program in only four short seasons. She enters her fifth year in 2024-25. During the 2023-24 season, Wright helped guide the Lady Mavs to a 17-16 overall record and the semifinals of the WAC Tournament before falling to the eventual champions in California Baptist, the furthest the Lady Mavs have made it in their three seasons in the WAC (2012-13, 2022-Present).
