Dog of the Week - Meet Pecan

This three years seven months old female Pit Bull Terrier mix is fawn and tan in color and weighs 70 pounds. Pecan is a sweet, quiet girl who's become a true favorite among the shelter staff. She may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, you'll see her playful side emerge. Pecan has attended a few offsite events, where she's charmed many with her gentle spirit and snuggly nature, yet she hasn’t quite found her forever home. With her adorable, chunky build and love for lounging, she is the perfect mix of playful companion and cozy couch "potato". She’s ready to find someone who’ll give her all the love and cuddles she truly deserves. Pecan has been assigned VIP status, with a reduced adoption fee, due to the length of time she has spent in the shelter. Meet Pecan at Dog Adoptions (DA)19, her ID number is A57000403.

Second Dog of the Week - Meet Harry

This just over four years old male Pit Bull Terrier mix is brown and white in color and weighs 71 pounds. Harry is a gentle giant with a heart as big as he is. Ever since he stepped foot into the shelter, he has been nothing but a polite gentleman. Despite his size, he’s one of the most polite, well-mannered dogs we’ve ever had the pleasure of caring for. Harry has been identified as heartworm positive, which means he needs a bit of extra care and attention—but it doesn’t hold him back from showing boundless love and loyalty. He’s a sweet, gentle soul who just wants a family to call his own. A new pet guardian will need to be able to provide heartworm treatment so Harry can live his best life. If you’re ready to welcome a loving, grateful companion into your life, this pooch could be the perfect addition to your home. Designated a VIP pet due to the heartworm positive diagnosis, Harry can be adopted at a reduced adoption fee. Meet Harry in Dog Adoptions (DA) 27, his ID number is A56997445.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
