Dog of the Week – Meet Jimmy
This two-year-old male Pit Bull Terrier mix is blue and white in color and weighs 73 pounds. This lovable boy has been waiting at the shelter for almost two months to find his "furever" home. He's just a big-hearted lug who is as sweet as honey and has a soft spot for squeaky toys and affection. He loves both giving and getting it (affection that is)! While he’s not the biggest fan of treats, he makes up for it with his warm personality and gentle demeanor. Jimmy walks great on a leash and already knows how to sit. He’s really ready for his next adventure with a new family. Having been designated a VIP pet, Jimmy can be adopted at a reduced fee. Meet Jimmy at Dog Adoptions (DA) 8, his ID number is 56696005.
Second Dog of the Week – Meet Sofie
This one-and-a-half-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier mix is white and brown in color and weighs 50 pounds. Sofie is eager to see a new pet guardian walk through the shelter door and adopt her. Though she's a bit timid at first, she warms up softly, especially when there's affection involved. Also, toys appear to be a favorite of hers as well. She does not appear to be treat motivated but enjoys companionship and is great on a leash. Sofie already knows how to sit and is eager to learn more. Due to being heartworm positive she has achieved a VIP designation with a reduced adoption fee. A new adoptive family should be willing to follow up with the necessary heartworm treatment to give this pooch a chance at her best life. Meet Sofie in Dog Adoptions (DA) 14, her ID number is A56852380.
Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
