Tabitha Akintimi, a senior on Sam Houston High School’s cross country team, has been selected as the City of Arlington’s Student-Athlete of the Month for September 2024.

Akintimi is a leader on the cross country team with hopes to guide the squad to regionals and beyond this season.

“She’s a hard worker and a very intelligent young lady,” said David Hill, Sam Houston High School Girls Cross Country Head Coach. “She’s evolved each and every year and has gotten better.”

Akintimi's favorite subject is AP U.S. History, and she plans to study science with her eyes set on a career as a clinical psychologist.
