Arlington’s Homeless Emergency Weather Shelter Plan Extended Through Jan. 21, 2024

The City of Arlington’s Homeless Emergency Weather Shelter plan, originally activated from Friday, Jan. 12 through Wednesday, Jan. 17, has been extended to Jan. 21, 2024.
The shelters shall remain activated if temperatures reach 39 degrees or less for four (4) or more consecutive hours overnight.

Currently enrolled alert recipients shall continue receiving notifications and will not have to re-register.
Protocol for Mission Arlington Warming Station
- Guests may visit Mission Arlington between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. to receive shelter from the cold.
- Free Arlington rideshare accommodations will be made for those who choose to be transported to and from the overnight shelters.
- Mission Arlington is located at 210 W South St. The main number is 817-277-6620.
Protocol for Arlington Life Shelter Cold Weather Check-in
- Guests should enter through the entrance located on the east side of the building.
- Intake is from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Meals will be served.
- IDs are required. Exceptions are police drop offs, verified by the Arlington Police Department.
- The Arlington Life Shelter is located at 325 West Division St. The main number is 817-548-9885 ext. 3312.
- Please note: The Arlington Life Shelter has availability for 10 individuals (five women/five men).
Protocol for Salvation Army Cold Weather Check-in
- The Salvation Army is located at 712 West Abram St. For questions, please dial 817-860-1836.
- Intake is from 7p.m. to 10 p.m. (Exceptions will be made for drop offs by the Arlington Police Department after hours).
- Meals will be served.
Resources for Homeless Guests with Pets
The Arlington Animal Services Shelter accepts pets of homeless individuals as capacity allows.
