Cowboy
Dog of the Week – Cowboy
This four years, two months old male Mastiff mix is brown and black in color and weighs 104 pounds. So this week, we chose to put the spotlight on only one dog—one BIG dog! At his size, we wanted to just highlight him to get all of the attention as he needs all the help to get adopted. In spite of his size, Cowboy is completely full of sweetness and love. He has become a staff favorite and loves going out to the play yard to spend time with the volunteers. Making appearances at some offsite events, he really shines and people seem to gravitate towards him but he still hasn't found his "furever" family. Is he being overlooked because of his heartworm positive status? Hopefully not—it's not his fault. Thankfully heartworm disease is treatable and Cowboy's heartworm treatment is sponsored by Arlington Animal Services. With his treatment sponsored, a loving adoptive family can focus on providing some extra TLC (tender loving care) during treatment. Due to having the heartworm positive status, Cowboy has been designated a VIP pet and would normally have a reduced adoption fee. However, all dogs during the month of "Dogtober" are available for a $10 adoption fee. Open your heart and adopt this big guy during the month of "Dogtober" for the special adoption fee. Meet Cowboy at Dog Adoptions (DA) 21, his ID number is A53894676.
Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
