Ciara Cervantez, a senior on Bowie High School’s volleyball team, has been selected as the City of Arlington’s Student-Athlete of the Month for September 2023.

Cervantez plays on the right side of the court traditionally but has filled several positions during her senior season to assist the teams’ needs. 

“Ciara has a great attitude,” Maxine Williams, Bowie head volleyball coach said. “She’s the leader that’s quiet and she just does everything right and tells her teammates, ‘Hey, follow me.’”

Cervantez, whose favorite subjects is Math, plans to play volleyball at the next level.
