Arlington Police to Activate Special Events Parking Zones for July 30 Garth Brooks Concert, 2022 Cowboys Home Games
In 2018, the Arlington City Council adopted an Entertainment District No Parking Ordinance designed to protect neighborhoods closest to AT&T Stadium from traffic congestion and other nuisances stemming from fans who park in front of homes instead of at designated public parking lots.
The City Council approved the City’s ability to establish these temporary No Parking zones in response to residents’ concerns. The ordinance prohibits on-street parking in three residential areas only during certain AT&T Stadium events. These events, which are determined at the Police Department’s discretion, will include all Cowboys home games as well as concerts, sporting events and other high-profile activities at the stadium, which can hold up to 100,000 fans.
Email notifications will be sent up to seven days prior to the event. The City has installed folding No Parking signs, which are flipped open to be visible when on-street parking is not permitted. The No Parking rules will be enforced during the hours that the stadium event is underway.
2022 Schedule
The Arlington Police Department is expected to activate the No Parking Zones for Garth Brooks concert on Saturday, July 30.
Activations are also expected to occur on Cowboys home games on Aug. 26, Sept. 11, Sept. 28, Oct. 2, Oct. 23, Oct. 30, Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving), Dec. 4, Dec. 11 and Dec. 24.

What Residents and Visitors Should Know
During Cowboys home games and other select major events at AT&T Stadium, on-street parking will not be allowed on protected residential streets where No Parking signs are visible.
Any vehicles parked on-street where No Parking signs are visible are subject to being towed or fined.
Exceptions to the ordinance include vehicles stopped to make deliveries, drop off passengers, or to provide maintenance, repair or lawn service to a residence within the Entertainment District No Parking Zone.
Residents who live in the designated Entertainment District No Parking Zones are encouraged to sign up to receive email alerts from the Arlington Police Department for event times and dates when the on-street Entertainment District No Parking ordinance is in effect.
