Code Compliance Team Tracking Apartment Issues, Connecting Residents with Essential Services
While water and electric services have been restored across the City in the aftermath of last week’s winter storm, some residences, businesses, and apartment communities are still without these basic services. At this time, a primary priority for the City of Arlington staff is to ensure repairs are underway and basic supplies are being made available at all apartment complexes, as identified.
All of the City’s Code Compliance Officers are working throughout the community to identify areas in need and making contact with property managers and landlords for the status of repairs and restoration of service. Code Compliance Officers are also monitoring repairs and coordinating with the Water and Fire Departments to assess the needs of residents living in apartment complexes. In areas that continue to have a water outage, the City is setting up a “neighborhood” supply line using fire hydrants as a temporary water supply until full service is restored.
The City is asking those residents living in apartment complexes to report the condition of those complexes. If you live in an apartment complex and do not currently have water or electric service, please report it immediately to the City’s Action Center by calling 817-459-6777.
