City Offering Free Computer Access for Small Business Assistance Grant Applications
Are you a small business owner in Arlington who has been adversely affected by COVID-19? The City of Arlington wants to make it easier for you to submit your application and documentation to Tarrant County’s new Small Business Assistance Grant Program.
The Tarrant County Commissioners Court recently allocated $30 million in CARES Act funds to the Small Business Assistance Grant Program, which aims to assist very small businesses with costs associated with business interruptions caused by the public health emergency. All grants will be limited to $10,000 and will be on a reimbursement basis.
The application period begins at 10 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2020, and ends at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

To help small businesses here, the City of Arlington is offering three dates next week where owners can use the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s computer lab and also scan their financial documents at no cost to complete their applications. City staff and volunteers will be on hand to provide technical assistance.
Participants are encouraged to review grant application requirements ahead of time and bring all necessary documents to be submitted as part of their online application.
To ensure public health and safety, online registration is required to reserve a time slot for computer use at the Downtown Library, located at 100 S. Center St.
