  1. Texas Christkindl Market

    The Texas Christkindl Market is one of the largest open-air markets in the Southwest. Inspired by Arlington's relationship with its German sister city, Bad Königshofen, the market is in its fifth year at Globe Life Park and will be open November 27 through December 23. It features vendors, selling handmade goods, decor and ornaments, along with German food and drinks. Live music, a Kinder Market, and pictures with Santa are also part of the fun.   1. Irving Berlin's White Christmas

    Theatre Arlington is putting on their own rendition of the 1954 Paramount Pictures film, Irving Berlin's White Christmas. The musical adaption will feature seventeen of the original Irving Berlin classics, such as Sisters, Count Your Blessing Instead of Sheep, and White Christmas. The show will run December 4-20 on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Ticket prices are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors over 62 and students with a valid ID, and $20 per person for groups over 10 or more. The price for opening night is $30.

  1. Volunteer at Mission Arlington's Christmas Store

    Mission Arlington is opening its doors yet again to give low income parents a means to shop for free gifts for their children. The annual Christmas store will be open daily (except Sunday) December 12-23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mission Arlington is accepting toy donations through Christmas Eve to fill the Christmas store. Volunteers are also needed to help people shop, wrap gifts, play with children, stock toys, deliver Christmas trees, and repair and deliver bicycles. Residents can also adopt a family or a child for Christmas through Mission Arlington. Those interested in donating toys, volunteering at the Christmas store, or adopting a family, should call 817-277-6620.

  1. Interlochen Christmas lights

    Arlington's Interlochen neighborhood is gearing up for the 40th annual Interlochen Lights. The neighborhood will have their homes decorated and on display December 17-25. The "Texas Best" Christmas lights are free to see, and the hours for the drive through are 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. from December 17-22 and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. December 23-25. Traffic is bumper to bumper, and viewers should allow several hours for the drive through. The entrance point is at the intersection of Randol Mill Rd. and Westwood Dr.

  1. Arlington Holiday Lights Parade

    Arlington's annual holiday parade will be Saturday, December 5 in the Downtown/University District. The fun starts at 2 p.m. with live entertainment, food, and vendors. The parade will start at the intersection of Main St. and Center St. at 6 p.m. and end at the intersection of Abram St. and S East St. at 7 p.m. At the conclusion of the parade, Mayor Jeff Williams and Santa Claus will flip the switch, lighting the 50 foot blue spruce tree. Pictures with Santa at the Levitt Pavilion in Founders Plaza will conclude the event.

  1. Visit Santa or Mrs. Claus in the Parks Mall

    The Parks at Arlington is an epicenter for holiday shopping in the American Dream City. However the mall also features some fun holiday activities for the whole family. Adventure to Santa will be open through December 24 in the Center Court of the mall. Children will get to join Shrek in an adventure to find Santa in the North Pole, exploring Santa's house, taking a sleigh ride, and meeting and taking a photo with Santa. From December 2-16, children can also meeting Mrs. Claus as she reads the Polar Express to children in Barnes and Noble. For more information, click here.

  1. Symphony Arlington's Holiday Treasures

    Symphony Arlington's Holiday Treasures concert will be 7:30 p.m. December 17 at Arlington Music Hall, 224 N Center St. The concert will feature J. Strauss II's Treasure Waltz, Robert Wendel's Jerusalem of Gold, and many other holiday classics, along with Symphony Arlington's annual carol sing-along. Tickets range in price from $16.50 to $46.50. Symphony Arlington offers $5 tickets to full time teachers and students with proper ID.
