The Arlington City Council discussed proposed amendments to the Smoking Ordinance during the afternoon work session on March 7, 2017. The proposed amendment discussions will continue at the March 28, 2017 work session.
The proposed changes would expand the existing smoking ban to include bars, billiard halls, bingo parlors, sexually-oriented businesses and bowling centers, making Arlington the newest North Texas city to join many other municipalities under the designation of a "100% Smoke Free City."
The amendment would also restrict e-cigarettes. Questions or comments regarding the proposed ordinance can be directed to the City of Arlington's Health Services manager at [email protected].
