A short section of southbound lane of Cooper Street in far south Arlington is expected to remain closed until Monday, Feb. 8 as city crews work to repair a water main break that occurred early this morning.
Because of the broken 20 inch concrete water main, the far right southbound lane of Cooper Street is closed at Turner Way, just north of Turner Warnell Road. Turner Way is also closed at the Cooper Street intersection. The break was caused by a contractor, according to Adam Stark, Water Utilities Field Operations Supervisor.
Stark said he anticipates water service to be restored to three affected customers by Thursday, Feb. 4.
