Public Meetings Set This Week on Proposed Health and Sanitation Ordinance Amendments
The City of Arlington has scheduled public meetings this week to discuss proposed Health and Sanitation Ordinance amendments that would affect child care centers, public swimming pools, and food establishments.
Food Establishments
The proposed amendment to Health and Sanitation Ordinance, Article IV, Regulation of Food Establishments, is an effort to update the regulations and adopt the most recent Department of State Health Services Texas Food Establishment Rules.
A public meeting to inform, educate and communicate with food establishment operators about the proposed changes is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, May 18 in the Council Briefing Room on the third floor of Arlington City Hall, 101 W. Abram Street.

Child Care Centers
The proposed amendment to Health and Sanitation Ordinance, Article V, Child Care Centers, is an effort to update the regulations and adopt the most recent Texas Department of Family and Protective Services Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards.
A public meeting to inform, educate and communicate with child care operators about the proposed changes is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18 in the Council Briefing Room on the third floor of Arlington City Hall, 101 W. Abram Street.

Public Swimming Pools
The proposed amendment to Health and Sanitation Ordinance, Article VII, Public Swimming Pools, is an effort to conform to current State regulations and local pool operation standards.
A public meeting to inform, educate and communicate with owners and property managers about the proposed changes is set for 6 p.m. Friday, May 19 in the Council Briefing Room on the third floor of Arlington City Hall, 101 W. Abram Street.
