The 2nd annual East Main Street Arts Festival took place this past weekend, bringing more music and more art-filled vendor booths to the Downtown Arlington scene.
Arlington Proud's festival, which was free and open to the public, was held Saturday, May 6 in the area between Division Brewing, Lester's Backyard and Garage, and Mavericks Grill. In addition to four stages for live music, nearly 90 art-filled booths lined both sides of East Main Street.
"It's a wonderful event, and we're so happy to see both Arlington residents and visitors come out to see what East Main Street has to offer," Arlington Proud Board President Brian Harris said.

Anchor businesses along the street had their doors open for business during the festival as well.
"Business is absolutely booming," said Division Brewing co-founder Sean Cooley. "We've just created a new app that allows users to check out our latest events, what beers are on tap, and other information about the brewery. We love being here in Arlington and are excited about all the things that are happening in the community."
The Desert Diamond belly dancing group was on hand to wow the crowd at the East Main Street Arts Festival.
While music and art were the two main draws of the festival, visitors were entertained by other performers, including the Desert Diamonds belly dancing group.
