According to the City of Arlington, city offices will be closed Friday, December 6, 2013 due to inclement weather. All essential staff, including Arlington winter-weather personnel, Police and Fire Departments, will report for their normal shifts.
Essential City services will be maintained throughout the weekend - Fire, EMS, Public Works/Transportation and Dispatch Services are operational for emergency response. For employees who are unsure if they should report, they should contact their immediate supervisor.
UPDATE 12/6:
- Republic Services has canceled trash and recycling collection for Friday, Dec. 6. Service will resume on the next scheduled collection day. For example, residents scheduled for Friday trash collection would receive collection on Tuesday, and residents with Friday recycling will be collected the following Friday. The same will hold for Saturday service if we are unable to get the trucks out.
- Handitran service will not be available Friday and Saturday.
- All Park and Recreation programs and events
- Arlington Master Composter Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon 12/7
- Arlington Holiday Lights Parade (no rescheduling)
