City Council to Canvass Election Results for District 3, District 5 Races on June 20

Arlington voters re-elected Lana Wolff to the District 5 Arlington City Council seat in the June 10, 2017, run-off election, according to unofficial vote totals.

In the open District 3 race, the unofficial voting results show Roxanne Thalman received 925 votes while Marvin Sutton received 922 votes.

Sutton has requested a recount, which Tarrant County Elections is scheduled to conduct on Monday, June 19.

The Arlington City Council is scheduled to hold a special meeting on Tuesday, June 20 to canvass results for the District 3 and District 5 run-off elections. If the District 3 recount is not complete at that time, the council will recanvass the voting results for that race at a subsequent meeting, should the results change.

A swearing in ceremony for the District 3 and District 5 council members is set for Tuesday, June 27 at City Hall.
