Staying close to home for Spring Break next week? Plan a stop at River Legacy Living Science Center in Arlington for a week full of daily, family-fun activities!
The Science Center has affordable activities planned daily from 10 am to 3 pm including nature walks, animal explorations, and nature art projects with costs ranging from free to $3 per person.
Spring Break Week kicks off at the Science Center on Monday, March 14 with Free Family Nature Hikes. Guided hikes will depart from the Center at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
A Reptile Adventure featuring an up-close look at turtles or snakes and a related craft will take place on Tuesday, March 15. Reptile investigations will take place every hour between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and cost is $2 per person.
Take a Bug Adventure Hike on Wednesday, March 16 in search of insects with magnifying glasses and bug boxes! Hikes will depart every hour between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Cost is $2 per person.
Enjoy an Opossum Adventure on Thursday, March 17 as you learn more about North America's only marsupial and create an opossum craft. Opossum Adventures begin every hour between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., and cost $2 per person.
Find your inner artist during Art in Nature to create a variety of nature-inspired craft projects on Friday, March 18. This is a come-and-go event between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., and cost $3 per person.
Ages 2 and under are free for all events, and children must be accompanied by an adult for all programs. No reservations required. Activities will be available for families while they wait for the next available program. Daily program updates will be available on Twitter @rlsciencecenter.
