Love antique furniture, hand-crafted jewelry and one-of-a-kind home décor? You'll find all of that and more on Saturday, March 19 at the Main Street Antique Junk Fest in downtown Arlington.
The outdoor flea market-style event, which will feature about a dozen vendors with antique, vintage, vintage-inspired or handmade wares, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the back lot of Collected Treasures, 406 W. Main Street.
Junk Fest organizer Jana Holland, who owns Collected Treasures, said the event is perfect for "junkers" looking for upcycled, recycled or eclectic finds.
"These are one-of-a-kind items. There's not anything mass produced here. It's just good vintage and antique junk," Holland said. "You can stop here on the way to the grocery store and pick up some great stuff."
Items expected for sale include antique furniture, vintage-inspired clothing made in the United States, leather wristbands and hand-stamped jewelry. Holland said the prices are fair and the Junk Fest should offer something for everyone's budget.
"Nobody wants to carry this stuff home. Come out and try to make the best deal you can," she said.
Junk Fest, which launched in 2015, is expected to be held three times a year, weather permitting. The next events are set for June and October, Holland said.
