Whether you prefer standard ballpark fare, like hotdogs and nachos, or have a more adventurous appetite, Globe Life Park in Arlington offers something for just about every baseball fan's tastes.
On Thursday, the Texas Rangers unveiled several new concession and club menu items for the 2016 season.
"If you are here for 40 or 50 games a year, which a lot of our customers are, you don't want the same thing for dinner every night," said Rob Matwick, Texas Rangers Executive Vice President of Business Operations.
Have a Texas-sized appetite? The Wicked Pig is a Hawaiian roll layered with pulled pork, thick cut Danish bacon, a split sausage, prosciutto and thick-sliced ham, all covered with coleslaw, pork rinds and barbecue sauce. The towering sandwich, located at 557 Smokehouse in section 49, will set you back $27.
Tired of the typical hotdog? Try out the new Flamin' Hot Cheetos Dog, available for $10.50 at the American Dog stands in sections 22 and 48.
"It's my personal favorite. We're mixing in Flamin' Hot Cheetos with nacho cheese to give it a little kick," said Casey Rapp, Arlington Sportservice General Manager.
If you prefer sweet over spicy, the team is also bringing back the Sweet Spot Cotton Candy Dog, topped with cotton candy and cotton candy flavored mustard.
The Chicken & Donut Skewer is sure to be a fan favorite. The 12-inch skewer features fresh donut holes and fried chicken drizzled with sweet & spicy buffalo honey sauce. The skewer is located at Flew the Coop in section 50 for $12.
If you're not a fan of meat, the Rangers are offering several new vegan, including Southwest Black Bean Burgers, Vegan Nachos, Vegan Hot Dog, Vegan Chili and a Vegan Spinach Wrap. These items are available at Ballpark Vegan in section 16 and Centerfield Market.
"We've always had a few health conscious, vegan and gluten free items at the ballpark but we've been told by fans that they'd like more. So we added some ballpark favorite type vegan items like nachos and hamburgers and hotdogs that don't have meat products in them," Rapp said.
The Captain Morgan Club, which is open to the public, also features several new dishes. Options include Bacon and Cheddar Loaded Fries, Smoked Brisket Loaded Fries and the Homerun Cheeseburger, which has four all-beef patties topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions on a brioche bun.
Pudge's Plate, named for Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez, is a hot pressed panini stuffed with turkey, fresh spinach, provolone cheese and Sriracha aioli.
Matwick said the ballpark aims to have food that everyone will love.
"Anytime you have a facility this large with as many concession stands and restaurants as we now have, you owe to the chefs to allow them to be creative, to express their culinary expertise and it makes it fun for the fans," Matwick said.
