The City of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department will host the 4th annual Arlington Bass Classic at Lake Arlington on April 9, 2016. The tournament start time is 7 a.m. with angler check-in beginning at 5:30 a.m. at the Lake Office in Richard Simpson Park. The Bass Classic will end at 3 p.m. Registration is $60 per team (1 or 2 people). Entry fee is $50 if one team member is age 17 or under. One boat per team. Top five places paid for biggest stringer. Optional Big Bass side pot entry is $5 (winner takes all).
Join Arlington Parks and Recreation this Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Arlington Tennis Center Block Party and Carnival. The event, set for 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., is free to the public and designed for all ages. Activities include tennis drills and games for adults and children, face painting, snow cones, door prizes and tennis discounts.The Arlington Tennis Center is located at 500 W. Mayfield Road. The subject of a recent episode of Culture Buzz, Arlington ISD Youth Art Month is now on display at the Arlington Museum of Art in Downtown! Each spring, the Arlington Museum of Art works collaboratively with the Arlington Independent School District to give students the opportunity to display their pieces done in a wide variety of mediums to the general public. An opening reception is held during each two-week show to provide an opportunity for family and friends to attend and celebrate their student's artistic achievements.

See what it takes to become an Astronaut and the effect space has on the human body this Sunday, April 10 at UTA Planetarium! Narrated by Ewan McGregor, experience a rocket launch from inside the body of an astronaut, explore the amazing worlds of inner and outer space, and discover the perils that lurk in space.
