Food Truck Friday Night

Food Truck Friday Nights at River Legacy Park

After a successful Food Truck Friday Nights series at Levitt Pavilion, the Arlington Parks & Recreation Department has decided to expand its offering. Now you can enjoy Food Truck Friday Nights at River Legacy Park beginning Friday from 5 p.m.- 10 p.m. The event runs every Friday through June 13. Five trucks will be on hand each week. Ventana Cantina will be on hand to sell adult beverages. Free parking and admission.

Coin and Currency Show at Arlington Convention Center

If you like rare coins and historic currency, check out the Texas Numismatic Association's Coin & Currency Show at the Arlington Convention Center on Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m- 6 p.m. The event wraps up on Sunday from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults; children under 18 receive free admission.

Movies in the Park -Monsters University

Enjoy a great movie this Friday by heading over to the Martin Luther King Jr Sports Center for a free movie, Monsters University, which is being co-presented by the City of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department and the Arlington Southwest Little League. Movies will begin at dusk (around 8 pm) on a movie screen that will be set up just north of the playground. Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy the great outdoors with the kids. Free.

Arlington Proud's Mural Project

Help beautify this city this Saturday from noon- 5:00 p.m. as Arlington Proud helps launch the PlazaPark Shopping Center mural project. According to the Facebook page, this mural will 300 feet and designed by local artists and is designed as a beautification community relations project. Try out some great food, live music and have some fun. Feel free to supplies or money to help further the cause.

Arlington Museum of Art Presents Ansel Adams: Masterworks

Arlington Museum of Art is presenting this acclaimed Ansel Adams: Masterworks exhibit. The exhibit contains 48 photographs that Adams considered to be his best work. These images will be on display through August 3 at AMA. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for seniors/students (for major exhibits) and children 12 and under are free.

Blue Jays vs. Rangers

Enjoy a weekend of baseball at the Globe Life Park in Arlington as the Toronto Blue Jays come town for a three-game series. Yu Darvish is scheduled to take the mound in Friday's game. Opening pitch is 7:05 p.m. Saturday's game begins at 7:05 p.m. Sunday's game begins at 2:05 p.m. Click here for tickets.
