If you're looking for unique gifts or overall crowd-pleasers this holiday season, some of the city's best shopping establishments have you covered.

From the accessories mecca Sam Moon Trading Company, which opened a new location near The Parks at Arlington mall, to the low-key Shoppes at Brownstone Village nestled along West Abram Street there are all types of retail to help fulfill holiday wish lists.

Owners and managers of some local shopping haunts say the holiday season is about finding that perfect match between the recipient and the gift—and maybe a little something for yourself, too.

The newest Sam Moon location at 1112 West Arbrook Blvd. prides itself on offering a wide selection. Robert Crump, who manages the store, called it a "one-stop shop for handbags, accessories, shoes and makeup.'

Crump said the store's vast array of necklaces and earrings are popular for holiday gift-giving.

"We try to provide the styles that people want in a price-friendly way,' he said.

That means row after row of colorful items that appeal to everyone from kids and teens to more seasoned savvy shoppers. Crump said store personnel are adept at handling Arlington regulars and the buses of visiting tourists who routinely descend on the store.

Down the road at the Arlington Highlands shopping center, Lucy Crowhurst also knows how to give customers what they want.

Her Accents boutique, the only one in Tarrant County, is tucked into a row of stores between Starbucks and White House Black Market. It offers the same fashion-forward clothing and accessories as her store in Dallas' Uptown.

The store offers an edgy take on traditional items like blouses and jewelry that don't stay in the store long.

"We only get five or six of each item so when it's gone, it's gone,' Crowhurst said. She described the store as a "chic corner closet.'

For the holidays, the store is stocked with glittery dresses and tops which Crowhurst called perfect for parties and family gatherings. She said sweaters and necklaces are popular for gift-giving.

If your body is weary from hauling shopping bags or you need a new haircut or color for the holidays, head over to the Salon at Brownstone Village at Abram Street near Bowen.

Shoppers can relax with a massage and purchase salon gift certificates for loved ones as well. Some multi-tasking clients check out the Brownstone's shops for gifts while their hair is being treated.

"We have someone walking around with foil in their hair on a daily basis,' said Jennifer Courtney, the Brownstone manager.

The property includes bakeries, a restaurant and over 100 individual boutiques housed in a former skating rink.

"We call it an antique mall without the antiques,' Courtney said.

Round out your holiday run by visiting North Arlington's Lincoln Square where new offerings like Ulta and Michael's make it even easier to complete your gift-giving.

Then you can relax and visit the Hot Chocolate Choo Choo and enjoy the holiday lights and décor knowing your elf duties are complete.
