An exhibit is open now until Sunday, December 28th in Arlington, telling the story of the Nativity through various pieces of artwork.

The Arlington Museum of Art and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee are partnering for "Scenes of the Nativity."

The exhibit contains 27 lithographs and woodblock prints from the 16th and 17th centuries and features work from Rembrandt, Albrect Dürer, Peter Paul Rubens and several others.

The display tells the story of the Nativity through art and is for the whole family to enjoy.

In addition to the art exhibit, Chris Hightower, Executive Director of The Arlington Museum of Art, will also be putting on a lecture series about the Nativity Story.

This will be a multi-part series, covering different parts of the story. A special admission price of $5 will be offered for the holiday season.

The dates and subjects for these lectures are:

November 27 - The Annunciation

December 4 - The Visitation & The Journey

December 11 - The Adoration

December 18 - The Nativity & The Holy Family

The Museum is also hosting a collection of artwork on loan from the Collection of the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art by Oklahoma Native Derald Swineford.

This collection features 40 pieces of Western themed, Christmas artwork.
