Carol's Clubhouse is a special place for homeless children and teens and was created in in memory of Carol Zimmer, a long time advocate for children.

Its dedication will be Sunday November 16 at 2 pm.

"People can just come and see what it's all about and have cake and punch. It's pretty much come and go; we'll be giving tours of the shelter and educating people on the Arlington Life Shelter," said Becky Orander, Executive Director of Arlington Life Shelter.

The Clubhouse was created in in memory of Carol Zimmer, a long time advocate for children.

"She made sure children of different socio-economic backgrounds had the same opportunities and could enjoy the same activities as every other child. She enjoyed the arts and a lot of the renovations were inspired by what she wanted for the kids," Orander said.

The renovated Children's room has designated spaces for after-school tutoring, a computer lab, library, performance stage and teen lounge area.

"This is a wonderful gift for the children. These are children who often don't have their own books or toys. They're very excited!" Orander said.
