Looking for a chance to stay fit and help young students get ready for the new school year?

The YMCA of Arlington -the largest provider of after-school care in the AISD system -has a great deal for you. If you 're not a member, join now for only $20. In turn, the YMCA of Arlington will donate a backpack to an AISD child who needs one. Your donation entitles you to join any of the three YMCA of Arlington centers without paying the normal $75 membership fee. You 'll save $55 in the process.

Both the YMCA of Arlington and AISD are teaming up to help make sure that students who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program have the school supplies they need for the upcoming school year. The YMCA 's goal is to donate 500 backpacks in August.

If you 'd like to purchase some school supplies to put in the backpacks, each YMCA center will have a donation box to drop in items such as paper, dry-erase markers, folders and much more.
