The Arlington Police Department is offering a a program designed to help improve the quality of life for Spanish-speaking residents.
Unidos is a quarterly meeting that covers areas of relevance to the Hispanic community and focuses on being a resource center to meet their needs. It's also a great way for residents to become more involved with the Arlington Police Department and city staff.
The next meeting - which will cover affordable healthcare - will be Tuesday, February 4, from 7 to 8 p.m at Sam Houston High School, 2000 Sam Houston Drive. Meetings are conducted in Spanish.
"While we are currently holding sessions at Sam Houston High School, expanding into each district is a possibility," said Elisa Cruz, Crime Prevention Office Assistant for the Arlington Police Department.
According to Cruz, those attending the meetings can use Unidos as a resource center for any information they need and to become more involved with the Police Department and city staff.
